CATHOLIC COMMUNITY
Educating our children in the Catholic religion is our most important job as a Catholic school. As our mission states, we believe “who” our children become is just as important as “what” our children achieve and we strive to help our children become caring, Catholics who live out their faith every day.
At AACA , first through eighth grade students attend mass once a week and on Holy Days; with Kindergarten beginning after the Christmas Holiday break. Younger students are paired with mass buddies to make attending mass a communal and reverent time in our week. Religious education also takes place in the classroom. And, students take part in many service projects which builds upon our caring Catholic community at AACA.
SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION
At AACA, we work in cooperation with the St. Alphonsus parish toprepare students for the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, FirstEucharist and Confirmation. AACA families wishing to have theirchildren prepared for these sacraments are invited to join in theparish preparation. Each of our preparation programs includes familyparticipation, parish activities, Sunday mass attendance andclassroom instruction. Students at AACA are prepared for each sacramentduring the school day but outside participation retreats, Sunday mass, etc. are expected. Full information about these programs is available.
