DIFFERENTIATION
With the curriculum maps and tools in hand, each teacher assesses the individual learners in their classroom, and engages in differentiated instruction. Differentiation is intentionally planned instruction that enables teachers to successfully address the range of student abilities found in the same classroom.
Student assessment data is collected and utilized to design daily instruction. Students are able to reach goals and objectives through assignments and projects that cater to their individual needs and styles. This process allows flexibility for students who are ready to go deeper into the content, and for students in need of special support to receive instruction designed to close the gap between actual skill level and AACA standards.
