The focus in library is to provide students with print and electronic resources to enhance what they are learning in the classroom, as well as to foster their own interests in books and other subject areas.  Library goals include helping classroom teachers meet the Common Core standards through the resources of the library, continuing to develop and improve our print collection with fiction and non-fiction books that both support the standards and are enjoyable, and integrating technology on a more consistent basis.  Other opportunities for extra learning include educational games and interactive bulletin boards available for students to use when they have extra time in the library, such as after checking out books.  These are spaces for students to share ideas, things they have learned in or out of school, or discuss their favorite books.  These activities serve to promote learning not just for school, but for its own sake.
