The technology program at AACA provides an opportunity for students to create, learn and explore the world of technology.  We think critically about technology's role in our lives, strive to be digital citizens by learning to exercise good judgment when using technology tools, and learn to be fluent in using technology.  Technology at AACA isn't just about learning how to use software - our students learn about the social and emotional effects of using technology as well.  We learn how to use a host of age-appropriate tools, we learn how to understand new systems (since technology is always changing), and we learn how to critically analyze information and advertisements found on the internet.  Our technology program is integrated with student's core content areas so that students' learning is reinforced in different and powerful ways. Much of our work is project-centered, and applies design-thinking models to learning, encouraging creativity over consumption in the digital world.
